Location - 668 Hawthorne Lane, Camano Island - 8 minutes from the Over the Rainbow shop.
Come enjoy a Stay-Cation overlooking Port Susan and relaxing views of the Sound. The Lodge is located on 6 acres nestled in the woods. You'll be staying in a striking Tudor Style Lodge with a Bavarian flavor - 7,500 square feet - with the first level hosting open sew areas, design boards, cutting tables, ironing boards and well lit lighting. There is one sleeping suite on this floor. Drive up ability for unloading your sewing gear. This is where Open Sew will take place. The main floor hosts the Master Suite (Peacock theme) which has a walk in shower, 2 sinks, separate toilet, and claw foot tub. Two queen beds are in the Master. Step out one of two doors which open on to the walkaround deck, wrapped with grapevines for stunning views of the water, gardens and grounds. The gourmet kitchen, the Great Room area with large TV and blue ray dvd player, and cozy couch are all on the main floor. Wireless internet and Wave Cable and a large movie library available. There are 3 sewing rooms on the main floor, with 4 tables per room including one iron/ironing board per room, cutting tables and lighting. The upper floor (accessible by a wide staircase with double railing) has 3 sleeping suites. The Garden Fairy room has 2 full sized beds with an attached full bath. This magical room overlooks the forest and front of the Lodge. Wildlife abounds.... The Cori D'antini room ( one of our favorite designers) features 4 full sized beds and shares an adjoining full bath with the Jody Bergsma Room (another favorite designer) which has 3 full sized beds. The Jody Bergsma room has the most scenic views from the home overlooking the water! Let your imagination sail away...... *****All the beds include hotel grade comfy duvet hypo-allergenic down alternative comforters on new top quality Sealy mattresses. Refreshed and rejuvenated is our goal when hosting you in this stunning Lodge.



Kitchen and dining - Our gourmet style kitchen gives you plenty of room to prepare your own meals, stocked with the cooking utensils, pans, dishes etc... Or there are lots of restaurants and a grocery store within minutes. And a winery on Michael Way...

You are allowed to bring in your own alcohol - but please drink responsibly!


Want to join our shop hosted retreat? You can book over the first weekend of each month when Over the Rainbow hosts a retreat at the Lodge in conjunction with Super Saturday - $170 per person for two nights and 3 days. We will assign the rooms....

For booking group retreats - we need a minimum of 6 guests and a maximum of 13-20 (if you want to share your bed) We reserve the right to determine which suites are available for your group if it's a small group and you're sharing the Lodge with others.
Cost is $170 per person for 3 days and 2 nights - each additional night is $45 if available.
These rates do not include applicable tax (10.7% for all guests)

Check in time is 3:00pm (you may be allowed to come earlier - call the week before to find out the schedule) and check out is Noon - late checkout may be available depending on the schedule.
We need time to freshen up the Lodge between visitors.....

You can book the whole house for $2,000 for 2 nights and 3 days - third night would be an extra $500 for the whole Lodge rental

There are 13 beds total - 2 Queen beds and 11 Full beds and 4 bedroom suites and an apartment suite. We assume one person per bed and we have a MAXIMUM CAPACITY of 15 total.

Or the whole house for a week for $4,000.

$100 deposit is required for each retreat you want to book. This becomes your cleaning deposit and is returned upon checkout inspection and can be applied to a future retreat should you desire. When booking your retreat we require half the payment and 30 days before the balance is due. We also have to charge a 10.7% hotel tax.


No Pets (sorry! Come up to the farm for your pet fix)

No Smoking in or near the house (considerate smokers may be allowed in a designated spot outside)

PERKS - Each retreat visitor is given an Over the Rainbow bag and a $10 credit to be used in the shop during your stay. The shop IS OPEN - just for your group - from 10-Noon each day during your stay (excluding Sundays since we are closed) There may be other shop discounts available exclusively to your group.

For out of state visitors we are in the process of obtaining Janome machines that would be available to rent. Please let us know if this is of interest to you.

Located 1 1/2 hours North of Seattle, 1 1/2 hours from the Canadian border in Blaine,
45 minutes from the airport in Bellingham Washington and only minutes from the OTR shop!
There are 2 State Parks within minutes, restaurants, grocery store and an 18 hole Golf Course nearby.
We will have several options - 2 day minimum, or stay for a week!

There are 5 Sleeping Suite choices with 2 - 4 beds per suite ranging from full to
Queen with all new mattresses and comfy cozy bedding.
An extra large kitchen has plenty of space for preparing meals - or we'll give you catering options as well.
The Lodge has 3 floors with 7500 square feet total so there is plenty of room for sewing and crafting, or simply relaxing. There's a wrap around porch with views of the water.

Lodge Rules - A few rules to follow while you're a guest at the Lodge....
We want your stay at the Lodge to be enjoyable for you as well as the others....
Here are a few rules we have.....

You are welcome to listen to any style/genre of music you like but it needs to be through your headphones....

There is no smoking IN the Lodge but there is a designated Smoking section outside...

No pets please....no exceptions.....

No young children unless of course they know how to sew and will be a part of the group....

Drinking alcohol responsibly is allowed, but you'll need to BYOB

13 guests for full Lodge - 15 guests total at the Lodge with additional fee for extras....

We ask that guest do not use the washing machines/dryers - we have a delicate septic system/drain field and are on a community well system with our neighbors.

Although we will do the heavy cleaning we ask that each group collect all the garbage/recycle in the house and put it in the garage and we will dispose of it.....

We take great pride in providing a wonderful atmosphere and ask that you respect the Lodge as you would your own home. We do ask that you leave the Lodge similar to how you found it.

Your sewing machine ( although we do have rental machines available for $10 per day)
Your sewing projects, thread, scissors and rotary cutters, rulers, patterns and anything you need to keep you busy.....
Your personal items and clothing
Your food and meals....we do not provide your meals but do have a huge kitchen with everything you need for cooking....or there are many eating out options available

Your creative spirit....


What you DON'T need to bring
Sheets and towels are provided
Irons are provided
Cutting tables, mats, design walls and good lighting are provided
a beautiful atmosphere to be creative in and enjoy time with your friends
Please no pets are allowed at the Lodge - if you need a pet fix go visit the Farm at Over the Rainbow

Just about everything you could need in the kitchen is provided (except for the food!)
